Procurement Specialist Job in Kampala - Competitive and Enterprise Development Project
Job Description
Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join the Project Coordination Unit for the Competitive and Enterprise Development Project Additional Financing (CEDP-AF). This World Bank-funded initiative aims to enhance enterprise competitiveness in Uganda, with special focus on MSMEs in priority sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage procurement processes for CEDP-AF project components
• Ensure compliance with World Bank procurement guidelines and Ugandan regulations
• Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies
• Coordinate procurement activities across eight implementing agencies
• Prepare bidding documents and manage tender processes
• Maintain procurement records and ensure transparency
• Provide technical guidance on procurement matters to project teams
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional qualification in procurement (CIPS or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in donor-funded projects
• Thorough knowledge of World Bank procurement procedures
• Experience in public procurement in Uganda
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and report writing abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
