Job Description
Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is seeking a qualified Procurement Officer to join our Project Coordination Unit for the Competitive and Enterprise Development Project - Additional Financing (CEDP-AF). This World Bank-funded initiative aims to enhance enterprise competitiveness in Uganda, with special focus on MSMEs in priority sectors.
As a Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient procurement processes for project implementation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Uganda's economic development while working with a reputable organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage procurement processes for CEDP-AF project implementation
• Ensure compliance with World Bank procurement guidelines and Ugandan regulations
• Prepare bidding documents and manage tender processes
• Coordinate with eight implementing agencies on procurement matters
• Maintain proper procurement records and documentation
• Support project coordination activities as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional qualification in procurement (CIPS or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably with donor-funded projects
• Knowledge of World Bank procurement procedures
• Experience working in Uganda's private sector development context
• Strong understanding of Ugandan procurement laws and regulations
