Job Description
Habitat for Humanity Uganda (HFHU) is seeking an experienced National Director to lead our transformative housing initiatives across Uganda. As part of the global Habitat for Humanity International network operating in over 70 countries since 1976, we are committed to improving living conditions through affordable housing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for HFHU's programmes nationwide
• Oversee implementation of housing projects and community development initiatives
• Manage organisational resources, budgets, and donor relationships
• Lead and mentor a dedicated team of housing professionals
• Represent HFHU with government agencies, partners, and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies and Ugandan regulations
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 8 years senior management experience in NGO sector
• Proven track record in programme management and organisational leadership
• Strong understanding of Uganda's development landscape and housing sector
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Commitment to Christian values and community development
