Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEAL) Assistant Job in Kampala - AWYAD

AWYAD is seeking a dedicated Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEAL) Assistant to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about making a difference through effective programme monitoring and evaluation in Uganda's development sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of MEAL frameworks and systems
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting for various projects
- Conduct field monitoring visits to track programme progress and impact
- Maintain accurate MEAL databases and documentation
- Support the preparation of quarterly and annual performance reports
- Participate in learning sessions and knowledge sharing activities
- Assist in capacity building of staff and partners on MEAL processes
- Ensure compliance with organisational and donor reporting requirements

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation
- Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SPSS, or other statistical software
- Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of the Ugandan development context
