AWYAD Uganda is seeking three dedicated Project Assistants in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) to join our growing team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity for mental health professionals to contribute to meaningful community-based programmes that address psychological wellbeing across Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct MHPSS services to vulnerable populations in Kampala and surrounding communities
• Assist in implementing mental health awareness campaigns and community outreach programmes
• Support the development and distribution of psychosocial support materials
• Conduct basic psychological first aid and referral services
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of MHPSS activities
• Collaborate with local health centres and community organisations
• Participate in training sessions and capacity-building workshops

Requirements:
• Diploma or Certificate in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Minimum 1 year experience in mental health or psychosocial support work
• Understanding of Uganda's mental health landscape and cultural context
• Strong communication skills in English and local languages
• Ability to work effectively with diverse communities
• Computer literacy and reporting skills
