Laboratory Technologist Job in Gulu - C-Care Uganda

C-Care Uganda, a leading healthcare provider, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Gulu. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to quality patient care in Northern Uganda.

About the Role:
As a Laboratory Technologist at our Gulu facility, you will play a crucial role in our diagnostic services. You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of patient specimens, performing laboratory tests, and ensuring the timely delivery of reliable results to support clinical decisions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day operational activities in the laboratory department.
• Collect, prepare, and process patient specimens using the correct methods.
• Conduct a range of laboratory tests following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality control and safety protocols.
• Accurately record, analyse, and report test findings.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient patient service.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognised institution.
• Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• At least 2 years of proven experience working as a Laboratory Technologist in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, haematology, microbiology, and clinical chemistry.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
