Opportunity Bank Uganda is seeking a creative and results-driven IT Solutions Developer to join our dynamic technology team at our Head Office in Kampala. This is an exciting career opportunity for IT professionals passionate about developing innovative banking solutions in Uganda's growing financial sector.

As an IT Solutions Developer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing business requirements, developing software systems, and maintaining our core banking applications. You will work closely with various business units to translate their needs into technical solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze business requirements and develop technical specifications
• Design, code, install, and maintain software systems and applications
• Develop and maintain core banking system components
• Create technical documentation and handbooks
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to deliver integrated solutions
• Provide technical support for existing applications and platforms
• Ensure compliance with change management and SDLC procedures
• Manage database administration and maintenance tasks
• Participate in user acceptance testing and review sessions

Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field from a recognised institution
• Minimum 3 years' experience in systems development and applications support
• Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and/or Java/Jbase programming
• Experience with T24 core banking system programming
• Expertise in Oracle, MS SQL, or Sybase databases
• Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with API banking technologies and source control systems
