Job Description
The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development Uganda is seeking qualified Graduate Economists to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to launch their careers in public sector economics and contribute to Uganda's national development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct economic research and analysis to support policy formulation
• Assist in the preparation of economic reports and briefs for senior management
• Participate in budget planning and monitoring activities
• Analyse economic trends and their impact on Uganda's development
• Support the implementation of government economic programmes
• Collaborate with various departments on economic planning initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, or related field from a recognised university
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of Uganda's economic landscape and development priorities
