Foreign Service Officer Grade VI (U4) Job at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Uganda

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uganda is recruiting a dedicated Foreign Service Officer Grade VI (U4 Scale) to join its diplomatic corps. This is a prestigious opportunity for qualified Ugandans to serve their country and represent Uganda's interests on the international stage.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support the implementation of Uganda's foreign policy and international relations objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of diplomatic reports, briefs, and correspondence.
- Participate in consular services to assist Ugandan citizens abroad.
- Contribute to the organisation of diplomatic functions, meetings, and official visits.
- Conduct research and analysis on international developments relevant to Uganda.
- Work within a designated department at the Ministry Headquarters in Kampala or at a Ugandan Mission abroad, as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in International Relations, Law, Economics, Political Science, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognised university.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of other international languages (e.g., French, Arabic, Chinese) is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, research, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, patriotism, and discretion.
- Must be a Ugandan citizen with a valid National ID.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
