Key Responsibilities & Duties:
As a Fireman at Kakira Sugar, you will be at the forefront of our fire prevention and emergency response system. Your core duties will include:
• Conducting daily checks, cleaning, and maintenance of all fire appliances and equipment to ensure 100% operational readiness.
• Participating actively in firefighting, rescue operations, and other emergency responses as required.
• Performing regular inspections, testing, and servicing of fire hydrants and related fire protection systems across the estate and factory.
• Accurately recording all operational activities, equipment checks, and incidents in the official occurrence book.
• Assisting in fire safety drills and training sessions for staff to promote a strong culture of safety.
• Adhering strictly to all company safety protocols, policies, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements for the Role:
To be successful in this position, you should meet the following criteria:
• A minimum of an Ordinary Level Certificate (UCE) with credits in English and Mathematics.
• Certificate or basic training in Firefighting from a recognised institution is a strong advantage.
• Excellent physical fitness and ability to work under pressure in emergency situations.
• High level of discipline, integrity, and reliability.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Previous experience in a similar industrial or security role is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
