Finance Intern Job Opportunity at BRAC Uganda Bank Limited in Kampala

BRAC Uganda Bank Limited is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in banking operations and financial management within Uganda's growing financial sector.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare bank reconciliations for all head office bank accounts
• Process BOU weekly liquidity returns and daily branch liquidity reports
• Collect WHT and FD certificates and ensure timely offset of withheld amounts
• Prepare schedules for allocated asset and liability general ledger accounts
• Process tax payments including NSSF, PAYE, WHT, VAT, and excise duty
• Post transactions to the core banking system and verify payments
• Assist in resolving audit issues and maintaining treasury documents
• Serve as bank agent and ensure compliance with financial regulations

Requirements:
• Recent graduate or final year student in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and banking regulations is an advantage
