Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical maintenance and installation activities to ensure optimal plant operations. You will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.

• Supervise a team of electricians and technicians in daily electrical maintenance tasks.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee electrical installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance programmes for plant equipment.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with Ugandan safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical faults in industrial machinery and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of electrical parts.
• Conduct safety briefings and ensure team adherence to Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Collaborate with other engineering departments to minimise downtime and improve plant efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing, industrial, or cement plant environment.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role leading a technical team.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, and instrumentation.
• Valid certificate of good conduct and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
