Dispenser Job in Wandegeya - Pharmacy Technician at C-Care Uganda

Job Summary:
As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and direct clients. Your professional demeanor and excellent communication skills will ensure patients receive proper counselling, leading to improved treatment adherence and health outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies to patients and hospital departments.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and records of all pharmacy transactions in compliance with Ugandan regulations.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and accurate counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock-taking, ordering, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines for pharmacy practice in Uganda.
• Offer excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries with professionalism and care.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A recognised Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a Ugandan institution.
• Valid practising licence from the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• Prior experience working as a dispenser or pharmacy technician in a clinic, hospital, or retail pharmacy is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of common medications, dosage forms, and medical supplies used in Uganda.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Luganda.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
• Compassionate, patient-centric approach to service delivery.
