Dispenser Job in Mukono - Pharmacy Technician at C-Care Uganda

Job Summary:
As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and outpatients. Your professional demeanor and excellent communication skills will ensure patients receive proper counselling, leading to improved treatment adherence and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and records of all pharmacy transactions.
• Provide clear and empathetic counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock-taking and ordering of supplies.
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines for pharmacy practice in Uganda.
• Ensure a clean, organised, and professional pharmacy environment.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Valid practicing license from the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a dispenser or pharmacy technician in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dosage, and interactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
