Data Officer for Sudan Operations - Kampala Based Position

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a dedicated Data Officer to support our Sudan operations from our Kampala, Uganda office. This is an exciting opportunity for data professionals looking to contribute to meaningful humanitarian work while based in Uganda's vibrant capital city.

Position Overview:
As a Data Officer for Sudan operations, you will play a crucial role in managing and analysing data that directly informs humanitarian response efforts. You'll be working with a dynamic international team while enjoying the stability of being based in Kampala.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collect, process, and validate data from multiple sources related to Sudan operations
• Develop and maintain databases and data management systems
• Generate regular reports and data visualisations for stakeholders
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous verification processes
• Collaborate with field teams in Sudan to coordinate data collection efforts
• Implement data protection protocols in compliance with organisational standards

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data management or analysis
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, R, or Python)
• Experience with database management systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Knowledge of humanitarian operations is an advantage
