About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at Airtel Uganda, you will be the frontline ambassador for our brand. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service, resolving their queries, and enhancing their overall experience with Airtel's products and services. This position is based at our offices in Kampala.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handle and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and service requests professionally and efficiently through multiple channels including phone, email, and social media.
  • Provide accurate information about Airtel Uganda's products, services, tariffs, and promotions.
  • Promote and upsell relevant Airtel products and services to meet customer needs and business targets.
  • Log, track, and maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions and resolutions in the company's CRM system.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to escalate and resolve complex customer issues.
  • Strive to achieve high customer satisfaction scores and contribute to Airtel's reputation for excellent service in Uganda.
  • Stay updated on all new Airtel products, services, and process changes.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Diploma in any field from a recognised institution.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the telecommunications, banking, or FMCG sector in Uganda.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in at least one major local language (e.g., Luganda, Runyankole, Lusoga) is a strong advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a patient, empathetic attitude towards customers.
  • Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
