Job Summary

As a Claims Processor at Old Mutual Uganda, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of insurance claims. You will play a crucial role in ensuring clients receive timely and fair settlements, maintaining the company's reputation for excellent customer service in the Ugandan market.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assess the validity of insurance claims submitted by policyholders.
• Review and verify all supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate professionally with clients, agents, and third parties regarding claim status and requirements.
• Process claim payments accurately and in accordance with company policies and Ugandan insurance regulations.
• Maintain detailed and organised digital and physical claim records.
• Collaborate with the underwriting and finance departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and report any potential fraudulent claim activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in claims processing within the insurance sector in Uganda.
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan insurance regulations and industry practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
