Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive investment strategies aligned with NSSF's long-term objectives
- Oversee the management of the Fund's investment portfolio across various asset classes
- Provide strategic leadership to the investment team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and investment policies
- Monitor market trends and economic indicators to identify new investment opportunities
- Prepare and present investment reports to the Board and relevant stakeholders
- Manage investment risks and implement robust risk mitigation strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with investment partners, brokers, and financial institutions
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, or CPA are highly desirable
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in senior investment management roles
- Proven track record of managing large investment portfolios (preferably in pension or institutional funds)
- Strong understanding of Ugandan and regional financial markets
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- High integrity and dedication to ethical investment practices
- Experience working with regulatory bodies in Uganda's financial sector
