Area Sales Representative Job in Busia - NIC General Insurance

NIC General Insurance Company Limited, a leading and trusted insurance provider in Uganda, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Area Sales Representative to join our team in Busia. As an Area Sales Representative for NIC General in Busia, you will be at the forefront of our market expansion, responsible for driving insurance sales and building strong customer relationships within the Busia region. You will play a key role in promoting our diverse range of general insurance products to both individual and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for the Busia area.
• Prospect for new clients and generate leads through networking, referrals, and field visits.
• Present, promote, and sell NIC General's insurance products (e.g., motor, medical, fire, marine, liability) using solid arguments.
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships within the community.
• Coordinate sales efforts with team members and other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Stay updated on new products, services, and policy changes within the insurance industry.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Proven work experience as a Sales Representative, preferably in insurance, banking, or FMCG.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with CRM practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport and a professional network in the Busia area.
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the region.
• A minimum of a Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A degree is an added advantage.
