WASH Technical Specialist Job in Jinja - Water Sanitation Hygiene Expert

World Vision International Uganda is seeking an experienced WASH Technical Specialist to join our team in Jinja. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional to make a significant impact on water, sanitation, and hygiene programmes across Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement innovative WASH interventions and programmes
- Provide technical guidance and expertise on all WASH-related activities
- Monitor and supervise WASH construction projects across various communities
- Train and build capacity of community WASH workers and volunteers
- Ensure all WASH programmes meet Ugandan national standards and quality requirements
- Conduct regular field visits to assess programme implementation
- Collaborate with local government and community stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for WASH projects

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in WASH programmes
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ugandan WASH standards and regulations
- Proven experience in community mobilisation and engagement
- Strong technical design and project management skills
- Excellent communication and training abilities
- Familiarity with Jinja and Eastern Uganda WASH context
- Valid motorcycle riding permit (added advantage)
