Next Media, Uganda's leading multimedia company, is seeking a dynamic and experienced TV Programs Manager to join our Sanyuka TV team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the programming direction of one of Uganda's most popular television stations.
As the Sanyuka TV Programs Manager, you will be responsible for developing, scheduling, and managing our television programming to ensure we deliver compelling content that resonates with Ugandan audiences. You will work closely with our production teams to create innovative programming strategies that maintain Sanyuka TV's position as a market leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive programming strategies for Sanyuka TV
- Manage programme scheduling and ensure optimal time slot allocation
- Analyse audience ratings and viewer feedback to inform programming decisions
- Collaborate with production teams to develop new programme concepts
- Manage programme budgets and ensure cost-effective production
- Oversee programme acquisitions and local content development
- Ensure all programming complies with broadcasting regulations and standards
- Lead and mentor the programming team to achieve excellence
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in television programming or broadcast management
- Proven track record in developing successful TV programmes
- Strong understanding of the Ugandan media landscape and audience preferences
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of broadcasting regulations in Uganda
