Job Description

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking a qualified Procurement Assistant for a temporary position based in Kampala, Uganda. This is an excellent opportunity to join an international organisation and contribute to meaningful work in logistics and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in procurement processes and supply chain activities
- Support vendor management and supplier relationships
- Help prepare procurement documents and tender processes
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Coordinate with various departments on procurement needs
- Ensure compliance with UN procurement rules and regulations
- Assist in inventory management and stock control
- Support logistics and transportation arrangements

Requirements:
- Secondary education with relevant commercial qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in procurement or supply chain
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Knowledge of UN procurement procedures (advantageous)
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
- Ugandan nationals are strongly encouraged to apply
