Team Lead Reporting and Balance Sheet Management Job at UBA Uganda - Kampala

UBA Uganda is seeking an experienced Team Lead for Reporting and Balance Sheet Management to join our dynamic finance team in Kampala. This is a senior leadership position that plays a crucial role in maintaining our bank's financial health and driving strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the bank's complete balance sheet operations
• Ensure strict compliance with Bank of Uganda regulations and reporting requirements
• Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize our financial position
• Prepare accurate financial reports for executive management and regulatory bodies
• Work directly with the CFO and Executive Committee (EXCO) on strategic initiatives
• Partner with senior leaders across all departments to drive performance targets
• Monitor financial risks and implement appropriate control measures
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA
• Minimum 5 years experience in banking or financial services in Uganda
• Proven experience in balance sheet management and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan banking regulations and compliance requirements
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools
