Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end logistics and distribution activities for Diageo's operations in Uganda.
- Liaise effectively with local suppliers, warehouse teams, and transportation providers to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels across the network to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
- Analyse and optimise logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
- Support the planning and execution of key supply chain projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilise supply chain management software and tools to track shipments, manage orders, and generate performance reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related field from a recognised institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in supply chain, logistics, or distribution roles, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or a related sector in Uganda.
- Practical knowledge of supply chain software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and inventory management tools.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and external partners.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
