PATH Uganda is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Senior Manager, Health Financing. This is a senior leadership role within a globally recognised non-profit organisation dedicated to achieving health equity. In Uganda, PATH works closely with the Ministry of Health, government agencies, development partners, and civil society to develop and scale innovative health solutions that promote equity and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide technical leadership in health financing policy and strategy development for Uganda's health sector.
• Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of health financing interventions to improve sustainable financing for health.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, other government agencies, development partners, and CSOs.
• Manage project budgets, ensure compliance, and deliver timely and accurate reporting.
• Supervise, mentor, and build the capacity of project staff within the health financing portfolio.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and identifying new funding opportunities.
• Advocate for and support health financing reforms that align with Uganda's national health priorities.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• A Master's degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Economics, Health Financing, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience in health financing, health economics, or public financial management.
• Proven and demonstrable experience working directly with the Government of Uganda and various development partners on health financing initiatives.
• Strong analytical, research, and technical writing skills, with a track record of producing high-quality reports and policy briefs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing teams and complex projects.
