The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Airworthiness Inspector specialising in Airframe and Powerplants (A & C Licences) to join our dedicated team in Entebbe. This is a senior-level role critical to ensuring the safety and regulatory compliance of Uganda's civil aviation sector.

As a key regulator, UCAA manages Entebbe International Airport and thirteen other aerodromes across Uganda, adhering to the highest international standards set by ICAO. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, certification, and continuous oversight of aircraft airworthiness.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Conduct detailed inspections and surveys of aircraft, components, and maintenance organisations.
• Evaluate and approve aircraft maintenance programmes, repair schemes, and modifications.
• Issue, renew, suspend, or revoke Certificates of Airworthiness and related approvals.
• Investigate reported defects, incidents, and accidents related to aircraft airworthiness.
• Provide expert technical advice and ensure compliance with UCAA regulations and ICAO SARPs.
• Supervise and mentor junior airworthiness personnel.
• Liaise with aircraft operators, maintenance organisations, and international regulatory bodies.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Must be a Ugandan citizen of impeccable integrity and commitment.
• Hold or be eligible for UCAA/ICAO Type II Airworthiness Inspector authorisations.
• Possess a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Licence (AMEL) with ‘A’ (Airframe) and ‘C’ (Powerplant) ratings.
• Extensive practical experience in aircraft maintenance and airworthiness surveying.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Ugandan civil aviation regulations.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities.
