Job Description

C-Care, a leading healthcare provider in Uganda, is seeking two (2) detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Coordinators to join our dynamic team. As a Procurement Coordinator at C-Care, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient acquisition of medical supplies, equipment, and services essential for our operations. You will be part of a system dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of care for our patients through reliable supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end procurement process for medical and non-medical supplies.
  • Liaise with department heads to understand their procurement needs and specifications.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for auditing purposes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of efficient procurement strategies.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or equivalent is a strong advantage.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or FMCG sector in Uganda.
  • Strong knowledge of Ugandan procurement regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement software.
  • High level of integrity, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
