Pharmacy Dispenser Job in Gulu - Healthcare Careers Uganda

All C-Care IMC Facilities, a leading healthcare provider in Uganda, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Dispenser to join our pharmacy team in Gulu. This is an excellent opportunity for a healthcare professional to contribute to patient care in Northern Uganda.

Job Summary:
As a Dispenser at our Gulu facility, you will play a critical role in the healthcare delivery chain. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare, document, and accurately dispense medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and direct clients. You will ensure all patients receive clear counselling to improve their treatment adherence and overall health outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and records of all dispensed items.
- Provide clear, empathetic, and professional counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with other hospital units to ensure timely supply of necessary pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for drugs and manage inventory levels.
- Adhere to all national pharmacy regulations and C-Care's standard operating procedures.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and patient confidentiality.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- A recognised Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a Ugandan institution.
- Valid practicing license from the Allied Health Professionals Council.
- Proven experience working as a dispenser or pharmacy technician is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Acholi/Luo.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a high level of integrity.
