Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimise Airtel Uganda's core telecommunications network infrastructure.


• Perform network monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure maximum uptime and performance.


• Manage and support 4G/LTE networks, fibre optic systems, and microwave transmission links.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network expansion projects and new technology deployments.


• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.


• Ensure network security and compliance with industry standards and company policies.


• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other departments.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognised Ugandan or international university.


• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in telecommunications network operations, preferably within the Ugandan or East African market.


• Professional certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly preferred and advantageous.


• Strong practical knowledge of 4G/LTE technologies, fibre optics (FTTx), and microwave transmission systems.


• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a live telecom environment.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.


• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
