Raising The Village, a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to ending extreme poverty in Uganda, is seeking qualified and experienced mechanics and technicians for our Motor Vehicle Repairs, Service and Maintenance operations for 2025. Key Responsibilities & Services Required:
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of 4x4 vehicles, motorcycles, and other project vehicles.
• Conduct thorough diagnostics, engine repairs, brake system servicing, and electrical fault-finding.
• Provide timely breakdown recovery and roadside assistance services across multiple regions in Uganda.
• Maintain accurate service records, inventory of spare parts, and provide detailed quotations for all work.
• Ensure all repairs comply with Ugandan road safety and vehicle inspection standards.
• Offer flexible and responsive service to support our field operations in hard-to-reach areas.
Requirements for Applicants (Mechanics/Service Providers):
• Proven experience as a motor vehicle mechanic or technician, with verifiable references.
• Valid certification from a recognised institution (UMA, UTVET, or equivalent) is a strong advantage.
• Fully equipped workshop with necessary tools, equipment, and reliable transport for mobile repairs.
• Strong knowledge of Toyota, Nissan, and Isuzu 4x4 models commonly used in Ugandan field operations.
• Excellent reputation for honesty, reliability, and high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to source genuine and quality spare parts within the Ugandan market.
• Willingness to work with a non-profit organisation and support our mission.
