Are you an experienced M&E professional passionate about driving impactful development projects in Eastern Uganda? World Vision International is seeking a dedicated Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist to join our team in Mbale. This is a senior-level opportunity to design and implement robust M&E systems that ensure our community development initiatives achieve their intended outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) systems for development projects across Eastern Uganda.

  • Lead all aspects of data collection, management, analysis, and reporting to track project performance and impact.

  • Ensure the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and ethical use throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare detailed M&E reports, dashboards, and presentations for management, donors, and stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Build the capacity of project staff and local partners in M&E methodologies, data collection tools, and results-based management.

  • Promote a culture of learning by facilitating the use of M&E data for programme adaptation and improvement.

  • Work closely with project teams to integrate M&E findings into planning and future project design.

Qualifications and Experience Required:



  • A Master's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, or a closely related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of proven, hands-on experience in monitoring and evaluation within the development or NGO sector in Uganda.

  • High proficiency in statistical software packages, including SPSS, STATA, or R.

  • Strong expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and data analysis.

  • Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in capacity building and training of staff.

  • Understanding of the local context and development challenges in Eastern Uganda is a strong advantage.
