Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E) - ILO Kampala Uganda
Job Description
The International Labour Organization (ILO) is seeking a qualified Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E) to join our Development Cooperation team in Kampala. This is a fixed-term contract position at NOB grade level, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful development projects in Uganda.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks for development projects
• Develop monitoring tools and data collection systems aligned with project objectives
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits across Uganda to assess project implementation
• Analyse project data and prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure M&E systems are effectively implemented
• Build capacity of local partners in monitoring and evaluation methodologies
• Ensure all M&E activities comply with ILO standards and donor requirements
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences or related field
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation
• Strong knowledge of results-based management and logical framework approaches
• Proficiency in data analysis software (SPSS, STATA, or similar)
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
• Experience working with international development organisations preferred
• Knowledge of Uganda's development context and local languages is an advantage
