Job Description
FHI 360 Uganda is seeking a qualified Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced M&E professional to contribute to meaningful development programmes in Uganda.
As a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, you will play a crucial role in tracking project performance and ensuring programme effectiveness across our development initiatives in Uganda. You will be at the forefront of data-driven decision making that impacts communities nationwide.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks for development programmes
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits to project sites across Uganda
• Collect, analyse, and validate programme data using advanced statistical methods
• Prepare detailed quarterly and annual performance reports
• Build capacity of partner staff in M&E systems and data management
• Ensure data quality and integrity across all programme indicators
• Support programme teams in using M&E data for improvement
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics or related field
• Minimum 3 years of M&E experience in development programmes in Uganda
• Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Excel and statistical software (SPSS, STATA)
• Experience working with international NGOs or development organisations
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Knowledge of Uganda's development landscape and M&E frameworks
