Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive in-patient and out-patient medical care to patients at the C-Care Mbale facility.


• Conduct thorough patient consultations, examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.


• Manage medical emergencies and provide stabilisation and referral as necessary.


• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records.


• Participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, and continuous medical education sessions.


• Work collaboratively with nurses, clinical officers, and other healthcare staff to ensure integrated patient care.


• Adhere to all C-Care Uganda clinical protocols, standards, and Ugandan medical regulations.


• Provide health education and promotion to patients and the community.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent from a recognised university.


• Full registration and a valid annual practicing license from the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council (UMDPC).


• At least 2 years of post-internship clinical experience working in a hospital setting is preferred.


• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of current medical best practices.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


• Commitment to professional ethics, integrity, and continuous learning.
