About the Role


As an IT Support Specialist at IMBank Uganda, you will be the first point of contact for all technical issues, providing essential support to our staff and helping to maintain our secure and efficient IT infrastructure. You will play a key role in supporting the technology that drives our banking operations in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities & Duties



  • Provide first-line technical support and troubleshooting to end-users across all IMBank Uganda branches.

  • Install, configure, update, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.

  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and system performance issues promptly.

  • Implement and monitor IT security protocols to safeguard bank systems and sensitive customer data.

  • Train and guide bank staff on the proper use of new software applications and banking systems.

  • Document technical procedures and maintain logs of support requests and solutions.

  • Collaborate with the IT team on projects to upgrade and improve the bank's technology landscape.

Requirements & Qualifications



  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field from a recognised institution.

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in an IT support role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector in Uganda.

  • Practical knowledge of core banking software, financial applications, and related IT systems used in Ugandan banks.

  • Professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate) are a strong advantage.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
