Britam Uganda is seeking an experienced Investment Manager to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned investment professional to drive our investment strategy and portfolio management in Uganda's growing financial market.
As an Investment Manager at Britam, you will play a crucial role in shaping our investment decisions and maximising returns for our clients and stakeholders. You will be responsible for analysing investment opportunities, managing portfolios, and developing strategic investment plans aligned with Uganda's economic landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement investment strategies for Britam's portfolio in Uganda
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis of local investment opportunities
• Manage and monitor investment portfolios to ensure optimal performance
• Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities in Uganda and East Africa
• Build and maintain relationships with local financial institutions and stakeholders
• Prepare investment reports and presentations for senior management
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan investment regulations and company policies
• Monitor economic trends and market developments affecting investments in Uganda
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in investment management or financial analysis
• Professional certification such as CFA or similar qualification preferred
• Strong understanding of Uganda's financial markets and investment landscape
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills
• Proven track record in portfolio management and investment decision-making
