Job Description
Raising The Village, a respected international development organisation with deep roots in Uganda, is expanding its North American operations and seeking talented professionals to join their team in Toronto, Canada. This is a unique opportunity for Ugandan professionals with experience in the development sector to contribute to poverty eradication programmes from a strategic global office.
We are looking for passionate individuals dedicated to creating sustainable change in East African communities. Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting our mission to lift communities out of extreme poverty through collaborative, evidence-based programmes.
Key Responsibilities & Opportunities
- Support programme design, monitoring, and evaluation for East African initiatives
- Manage donor relations and partnership development in the North American region
- Contribute to research, data analysis, and reporting on poverty alleviation metrics
- Assist with fundraising strategies and grant proposal development
- Coordinate communications between field operations in Uganda and global partners
- Participate in strategic planning for international development programmes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in International Development, Economics, Social Sciences, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in international development, preferably with East African context
- Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks
- Excellent communication skills for cross-cultural collaboration
- Proven experience in report writing and donor communications
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment
- Valid work authorisation for Canada or eligibility to obtain
