Incident Specialist Manager Career Opportunity at NSSF Uganda

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Uganda, a leading statutory public trust, is seeking a qualified and experienced Incident Specialist Manager to join its dynamic team. This is a senior-level position based at the NSSF Head Office in Kampala, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the Fund's mission of securing the financial future of its members.

As the Incident Specialist Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the Fund's operations and reputation by leading the response to and management of significant incidents. You will be responsible for developing robust incident management frameworks, coordinating cross-functional teams during crises, and ensuring business continuity.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Fund's incident management policy, plans, and procedures.
  • Lead the response to major operational, security, IT, or public relations incidents, acting as the central point of coordination.
  • Conduct thorough post-incident reviews and root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports for senior management and relevant regulatory bodies in Uganda.
  • Design and deliver incident response training and simulation exercises for staff.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including law enforcement, regulators, and service providers, during incident resolution.
  • Monitor the internal and external environment for potential threats to the Fund's operations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Security Studies, IT, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in incident management, crisis response, or business continuity, preferably within a large financial institution, public sector entity, or corporate environment in Uganda.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant Ugandan laws and regulatory frameworks.
