Hydrologist U4 Government Job - Ministry of Agriculture, Animal & Fisheries Uganda

The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal & Fisheries Uganda is seeking a qualified Hydrologist U4 to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for water resources professionals to contribute to Uganda's agricultural development and water management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydrological surveys and water resource assessments across Uganda
- Analyse water quality and quantity data for agricultural planning
- Develop water management strategies for irrigation and livestock
- Monitor river basins, groundwater resources, and rainfall patterns
- Collaborate with agricultural extension workers on water conservation
- Prepare technical reports on hydrological findings and recommendations
- Support climate change adaptation initiatives in water resources
- Implement water harvesting technologies for farming communities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hydrology, Water Resources Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in hydrological work in Uganda
- Professional registration with relevant bodies preferred
- Strong knowledge of Uganda's water resources and basins
- Experience with hydrological modeling software
- Understanding of agricultural water needs and irrigation systems
- Excellent report writing and data analysis skills
