Global Head of Innovations Job at Living Goods - Nairobi, Kenya

Living Goods is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Global Head of Innovations. This is a senior executive role based in Nairobi, Kenya, offering a unique opportunity to drive transformative change in community health across Africa, including Uganda. You will lead the design and scaling of innovative solutions that empower Community Health Workers and improve health outcomes for millions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and execute a global innovation strategy aligned with Living Goods' mission to save lives at scale.
• Lead a high-performing team to research, prototype, test, and scale new health technologies, service delivery models, and digital tools.
• Foster a culture of creativity, evidence-based learning, and rapid iteration within the organisation and with partners.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with technology firms, donors, governments, and research institutions across East Africa.
• Secure funding for innovation pipelines and ensure the effective management of innovation budgets and grants.
• Monitor global trends in public health, digital health, and social enterprise to identify new opportunities for impact.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in innovation, strategy, or product development, preferably within the global health or social enterprise sector.
• Proven track record of designing, piloting, and scaling innovative solutions in low-resource settings, with experience in East Africa (Uganda, Kenya, etc.) being a strong advantage.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing large budgets and diverse funding streams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.
