GA Insurance Uganda is seeking an experienced General Manager for Technical Underwriting to join our dynamic team at the Head Office in Kampala. This senior leadership position offers an exciting opportunity to drive underwriting excellence in Uganda's growing insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the technical underwriting department with strategic vision
• Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures aligned with Ugandan market requirements
• Oversee risk assessment and portfolio management for various insurance products
• Ensure compliance with Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda guidelines
• Mentor and develop a high-performing underwriting team
• Drive profitability through sound technical underwriting practices
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance product development and customer service

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business, Finance or related field
• Professional insurance qualifications (ACII, AIIK or equivalent)
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in insurance underwriting
• At least 5 years in senior management role within Ugandan insurance industry
• Thorough knowledge of Uganda insurance regulations and market dynamics
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
