Finance Officer Job at CRS Uganda - Mubende Location

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Uganda is seeking a qualified Finance Officer to join our team in Mubende. This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals looking to contribute to meaningful humanitarian work while advancing their career in Uganda's development sector.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day financial operations and accounting functions
• Process payments, vouchers, and financial transactions accurately
• Maintain proper financial documentation and filing systems
• Prepare monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations
• Support budget preparation and monitoring activities
• Ensure compliance with CRS financial policies and Ugandan regulations
• Coordinate with programme teams on financial matters
• Assist with internal and external audit processes

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting role
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and financial regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
• Fluency in English and local languages spoken in Mubende region
