Diageo, a world leader in premium drinks and a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. This is a senior-level opportunity to oversee and drive the financial strategy for our Uganda market operations.

Job Summary

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the complete financial health of Diageo's Uganda business. You will lead financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance, ensuring robust financial controls and supporting strategic decision-making to drive growth and profitability in the Ugandan market.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Oversee all financial operations, accounting, and reporting for the Uganda market.
• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement.
• Ensure full compliance with local Ugandan tax laws, financial regulations, and international accounting standards.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk for the market.
• Develop and implement strong internal financial controls and processes.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive operational efficiency and cost optimisation.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised university.
• Full professional accounting qualification such as CPA (Uganda) or ACCA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a finance management role.
• Previous experience within the FMCG, manufacturing, or beverage industry is a significant advantage.
• High proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
