PATH, a global leader in public health innovation, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance and Administration Assistant to join our dynamic team in Kampala. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Process and manage all financial transactions including payments, staff reimbursements, and expense reports in compliance with organisational policies
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes
- Support procurement processes including vendor sourcing, price comparisons, and preparation of purchase orders
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, budgets, and financial analysis for management review
- Provide comprehensive administrative support including meeting scheduling, correspondence management, and office supplies maintenance
- Ensure strict compliance with PATH financial policies, procedures, and Ugandan regulatory requirements
- Support the onboarding process for new staff members and consultants
- Coordinate with programme teams to ensure smooth financial operations
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field from a recognised Ugandan institution
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in finance and administration roles, preferably in NGO or international organisation settings
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong organisational skills with ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential
- Knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and financial regulations is an advantage
