Feeder-Nursery Operator Job at Yalelo Uganda - Butembe-Buikwe

Yalelo Uganda, a leading aquaculture company in Uganda, is seeking a dedicated Feeder-Nursery Operator to join our Lake Operations team in Butembe-Buikwe. This is an exciting opportunity to work in Uganda's growing aquaculture sector and contribute to sustainable fish farming practices.

As a Feeder-Nursery Operator, you will play a crucial role in our fish production process, ensuring the healthy growth and development of young fish in our nursery facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain optimal water quality parameters in nursery tanks
• Execute precise feeding schedules for juvenile fish
• Conduct regular health checks and disease monitoring
• Maintain accurate records of fish growth and feeding patterns
• Operate and maintain nursery equipment and facilities
• Collaborate with the aquaculture team to implement best practices
• Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards

Requirements:
• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent
• Previous experience in aquaculture or fish farming preferred
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions near Lake Victoria
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Basic understanding of fish biology and water quality management
• Willingness to work in Butembe-Buikwe location
