Key Responsibilities:

• Review, proofread, and edit a wide variety of content, including job descriptions, company profiles, marketing materials, and digital content for clarity, grammar, style, and accuracy.
• Ensure all published content aligns with FreshTalent Uganda's brand voice and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the content and recruitment teams to develop compelling and error-free copy that engages both job seekers and employers.
• Fact-check information and verify details to maintain the credibility and reliability of all published materials.
• Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Suggest improvements to content structure, flow, and readability to enhance user experience.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Literature, or a related field from a recognised Ugandan or international institution.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in editing, proofreading, or a similar role, preferably within the HR, media, or digital content sector in Uganda.
• Exceptional command of written English, with a keen eye for detail and a strong grasp of grammar, punctuation, and style conventions.
• Familiarity with Ugandan English spelling and terminology is a distinct advantage.
• Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Word, Google Docs) and comfort with digital content management systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
