Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitisation of hospital wards, departments, offices, and public areas according to NHS standards.


• Handle and dispose of clinical and general waste safely and appropriately.


• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and other sanitary items.


• Use and maintain cleaning equipment and chemicals correctly and safely.


• Adhere to all infection control and health & safety policies and procedures.


• Work collaboratively with other domestic and hospital staff to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times.


• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent is preferred.


• Previous experience in a cleaning or domestic role, preferably in a hospital, hotel, or large institution, is an advantage.


• Ability to understand and follow instructions and safety procedures.


• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a keen eye for detail.


• Good physical fitness as the role involves standing, bending, and lifting.


• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanour.
