Job Summary
As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations by preparing, documenting, and dispensing medications and medical supplies to hospital units and patients. Your professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and empathy will ensure patients receive accurate counselling to improve their treatment adherence and overall health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently
- Maintain proper documentation of all dispensed drugs and supplies
- Provide professional counselling to patients on medication usage and adherence
- Manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies and ensure proper storage
- Collaborate with other hospital units to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical pharmacy practices
- Follow all regulatory requirements and C-Care Uganda protocols
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- Valid practicing license from the Uganda Pharmacy Board
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (entry-level candidates with strong internship experience may apply)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing
- Computer literacy for documentation and inventory management
- Empathetic approach to patient care and counselling
- Knowledge of Ugandan pharmaceutical regulations and standards
