Crane Truck Operator Job in Buliisa, Uganda - ME Uganda

ME Uganda is seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Truck Operator to join our dynamic team in Buliisa, Uganda. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to contribute to major infrastructure and construction projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain crane trucks for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials and equipment on construction sites.
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on the crane truck to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Interpret and follow lifting plans, load charts, and signals from riggers or supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and Ugandan regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
• Accurately complete logbooks, maintenance records, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate effectively with site supervisors, riggers, and other team members to ensure efficient project execution.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid Ugandan driving permit with a class for heavy goods vehicles and a crane operator certificate from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience operating crane trucks, preferably within the construction, oil & gas, or logistics sectors in Uganda.
• Strong understanding of load dynamics, rigging techniques, and safety protocols.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various outdoor site conditions in Buliisa.
