Chief Investment Officer Job at NSSF Uganda - Executive Role

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and execute the Fund's overarching investment strategy and policy.
• Lead the management of NSSF's multi-trillion shilling investment portfolio across various asset classes.
• Provide strategic direction for asset allocation, risk management, and investment performance.
• Oversee the investment team, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and high performance.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and investment guidelines.
• Present investment reports and strategies to the Board and other key stakeholders.
• Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities to optimise returns for members.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional qualification like CFA is a strong advantage.
• Extensive proven experience (typically 10+ years) in senior investment management, preferably within a large pension fund, asset management firm, or financial institution.
• Demonstrated success in managing large, complex investment portfolios.
• Deep understanding of global and local (Ugandan) financial markets.
• Exceptional leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• High level of integrity, dedication, and professional ethics.
